The application of infrared light grid sensors in the field of safety protection is known as safety light curtains/safety light screens/optical protective devices, etc.

As the precision requirements for workpieces increase and labor costs become more expensive, along with the widespread use of automated equipment, many industries choose to use automated or semi-automated solutions to overcome tedious and repetitive manual measurements. These solutions are commonly used for measuring the shape, size, volume contour of objects, hole detection, classification detection, positioning detection, edge detection, height limitation detection, vehicle separation, and other aspects.

DADISICK's measurement light curtains are derived from safety light curtains and have higher accuracy and technical requirements. Their principle is based on detecting changes in the shape of objects passing through the infrared light curtain by sensing whether the infrared light is obstructed and the number of obstructing blocks.

Safety light curtains are commonly used for safety protection and detection positioning. Typically, safety light curtains are used as switch signals, with normally closed mode used for personal safety protection and normally open mode used for detecting the position of workpiece products

DADISICK's QL measurement light curtains usually communicate with safety light curtains using RS485/RS232/analog current/analog voltage. Of course, we also support network port output. The purpose is to transmit the signals detected by the measurement light curtains through communication to the PLC or controller to obtain the required data.
